16 April 15 Update
Hi Everyone,
Almost the end of the holiday break and the Leaders have met to plan out the coming Term, Term 2 looks like it will be just as good.
It was a pretty amazing Term 1 and everyone had a blast – a big thank-you to all our Leaders for their efforts to date.
Term 2 kicks off on Monday 20th for Scouts & Cubs on Tuesday – Saturday 25th is ANZAC Day and as usual we will be marching in the Citizens Parade; this year we intend to have a sleepover at the Hall for the Cubs & Scouts (who can join us) so we can attend the Dawn Service at 630AM.
Cubs & Scouts are encouraged to come down on Friday night – bring bedding and activity clothing – also your uniform on a hanger so we can check it and keep it clean.
Meeting time for Friday to be advised separately.
All Cubs & Scouts who attend the Citizen Parade must be at the Scout Hall by 930AM on Saturday 25th (if not staying overnight) – it is expected that Cubs & Scouts will be in FULL Dress uniform this means clean Scout shirt, Group Scarf & black shorts or trousers, black/ brown shoes – we want our Cubs & Scouts to look AMAZING!
If Cubs & Scouts have family member War medals these can be worn on this occasion in honour of our servicemen and woman.
The parade starts at 10:15 with a Citizens March from the Titahi Bay RSA to the Whitehouse Road cenotaph.
Also coming up on Saturday 2 May is the Zone Campfire to be held at Tatum Park, Levin – this is open to all – campfire starts at 630PM, parking is a gold coin donation – please let your Section Leaders know this week if you are able to attend so we can coordinate getting people there – see attached. The balance of Term 2 will be shared shortly via email and also at our new website www.titahibayscouts.co.nz – check out the site, we have some great videos of our Cubs & Scouts doing stuff and a few other clips too. Again thanks to Tony & Sarah Collins for getting this up and running.
Look forward to seeing you all again soon,
